Mind’s paintin’ pictures with shadows and doubt

Heart’s sayin’, “Talk to her, don’t shut her out”

Every smile, every tear, every night

Feels like a war between wrong and right

Mind’s screamin’, “She’s been untrue”

Heart’s pleadin’, “She’s lovin’ you”

One’s full of fear, one’s full of grace

One’s tearin’ down what we can’t replace

She might be my truth or my fallin’ star

But I’m still tryin’ to lead with heart

Mind’s sayin’, “Check her texts, follow her car”

Heart’s sayin’, “Boy, you’ve gone too far”

Mind wants chaos, wants the pain

But my heart’s beggin’, “Don’t go insane”

Truth gets twisted when fear takes control

But love’s not love if you don’t trust her at all

Now I’m stuck between truth and lies
