Holding resentment is like swallowing poison
And hoping someone else will die.
Harbouring hate in your heart
Is like looking up at a sky full of stars
And closing your eyes.
What you hold in your mind
Is yours to decide,
But believe me when I say
It will dictate your lives.
Fear hides in disguise
And clouds your mind's eyes.
Trying to protect yourself from pain
Is like trying to stay dry by standing in the rain.
Trying to live in a world without troubles
Will have you in a struggle to maintain your bubble
And hide your soul beneath the rubble.
The only way to be free from fear
Is stand well back and keep clear;
It will slowly disappear.
Pain is the same as change when you stand too near,
So stand well back and become the seer.
