Holy Land

I have swam the winding Jordan
Crossed the Sea of Galilee,
I climbed up to Masada
Saw the Mediterranean sea
Put my hands upon the wall
Where the Temple proudly stood
And I prayed to God Almighty there
The hardest that I could!

O Holy Land,
O blessed land,
Where Jesus once did walk
I heard your cries,
Your ancient sighs
As if the stones could talk
You call the world to come and see
The place where Jesus Rose
O holy land, o precious land
You’re where my spirit grows

I walked down through the valley
Where David slung the stone
Saw camels in the desert
Where the beduins call there home
I saw the holy mountain
Where Jesus did ascend,
And stood on calvary’s hilltop
Where Jesus paid my sin!
