Walking down the midnight road, my hands are stained with light,
Covered in the blood of God, my armor in the fight.
Through the shadows comes a whisper, a voice so sweet and low,
A woman with the devil’s eyes, and a heart I shouldn’t know.
She smiled like she owned the night,
Pulled me closer with her fire bright.
I felt the chains before they clinked,
Didn’t know how close I stood to the brink.
Fallen under her blackened spell,
In Satan’s trap I nearly fell.
But the heavens called my name,
“Stay away, don’t play that game.”
God’s voice roared through the flame,
And His blood still runs in my veins.
She danced with shadows, tried to make me stay,
Every word a serpent, twisting in its sway.
But the message burned inside my chest,
“Turn away, child, I know what’s best.”
She offered love that cut like knives,
A kiss that could tear apart my life.
But I lifted my hands, I called His name,
And the darkness trembled in the flame.
Fallen under her blackened spell,
In Satan’s trap I nearly fell.
But the heavens called my name,
“Stay away, don’t play that game.”
God’s voice roared through the flame,
And His blood still runs in my veins.
She screamed, the demons tore away,
Falling like ash in the breaking day.
She wept and whispered, “Thank you so much,”
Her soul redeemed in the Father’s touch.
No longer bound by her blackened spell,
From Satan’s trap I rose and fell.
With heaven’s light I walk again,
Apart but still in God’s own plan.
His voice still roars through the flame,
And His blood forever in my veins.
So we parted ways in the holy dawn,
Chains were broken, demons gone.
And though I loved her in the night,
I walk by faith, not by sight.
