Dear Family,
Ayo, listen up—
I ain’t throwin’ no damn money at another lawyer right now.
That shit ain’t needed, and I’m not about to pay for it.
Conway done been executor three times, so he knows how this game goes. Estates don’t get wrapped up overnight. His aunt passed in July 2024, everything was straight when she left this world, and he still expects this shit to run all the way into 2027.
Why? ’Cause that’s how the process works. Government offices move slower than hell, and there ain’t much anybody can do about it.
Go back and read John O’Rourke’s letter from April 6, 2026. He laid the whole damn thing out—what’s left to do and why he was hoping to have this estate wrapped by December 2027.
And when that final accounting hits the table, everybody gets their shot. You can look that shit over, ask your questions, approve it, or raise hell and object if you think something ain’t right.
But until then? Chill.
If the final accounting comes back and you’re still pissed off, then fine—get yourself a lawyer. At that point, maybe it makes sense.
But right now, hiring another attorney is just throwing money down a fucking hole and potentially dragging this shit out even longer.
The Commissioner of Accounts ain’t closing this estate until the accounting is complete and everything checks out. That’s the process. Period.
And Ed Preiss? He’s both an heir and the executor. You really think he doesn’t have a damn good reason to see this thing finished properly? If you’ve got questions, go talk to Ed directly.
So here’s the bottom line:
Stop trying to turn this into a courtroom drama.
Stop spending money that don’t need to be spent.
Let the damn process work.
And have some patience.
The estate ain’t disappearing.
The money ain’t disappearing.
And another lawyer ain’t magically making 2027 turn into tomorrow.
So everybody take a damn breath, enjoy Labor Day weekend, and let’s not create a whole new problem where one doesn’t exist.
Fondly,
Bernadine
