I’ve been a lot of places I don’t talk about

Tried to build a life that kept falling out

Held onto people longer than I should

To almosts and maybes and figuring it out

Just kept walking ‘cause I didn’t know how to leave

Now I look back… and it’s clear

All the roads that broke me down

Every time I hit the ground

Somehow led me right to you

Right to something real and true

Every wrong turn, every bruise

Made a space I didn’t choose

Now I know what they were for

They led me to you

You didn’t come in like a lightning strike

No perfect moment, no movie night

Just a “hey” that turned into every day

And a feeling that wouldn’t fade away

You didn’t try to fix what hurt

Didn’t run when it got worse

You just stayed—steady, quiet, sure

And made something in me feel secure

No big sign, no sudden spark

Just you slowly changing my heart
