For all the years of happiness you gave us

All the years you were there for someone else

All the times you hid your sorrow

You never let us help you out

You held in all your fears and feelings

You’d always smile pretend to be someone else

Someone who had no feelings because you didn’t want anyone to help

Your mental health was such a huge burden 

One you carried on your shoulders by yourself

If you had let us we would have helped you

You didn’t need to be so strong by yourself. 

We would have all helped you through the dark days

If you just let us in a little bit 

Now you’re no longer with us

Our hearts are broken without you here

If your story could help anyone

It’s you held all the pain within your head

So you could have been living your life happily instead

Your memory will live on forever 

As a beautiful bright amazing girl

That filled the world with smiles and laughter

But forgot to smile for herself 

Mental health awareness needs teaching to all our little boys and girl

To know how to manage their feelings

As they grow into adults into this crazy world 

For anyone who’s suffering in silence 

Please don’t suffer all alone

The world that you leave behind

Leaves your family broken and alone

The world needs you here as a fighter

Because fighting is harder path to follow

Just know that you are not alone 

Your future is a lot brighter

Brighter than you will ever know

So please don’t give up your fight 

Talk to someone don’t be alone

Life is a beautiful blessing 

You’ll leave your footprints on this world as you go

So keep walking the path you’ve been given but don’t walk the path alone……..
