Walking With Me

A long long time ago

i had a distant dream,

A dream unlike any other

ive seen.

A ghost was spying

on a lovely pair,

Walking hand and hand

in the cool night air.

The man i knew,

his face was clear,

It showed not a trace

or tremble of fear.

They walked and talked

down by the stream

Not caring once

that this was a dream.

The time had come

for me to go,

With part of this dream

still to show.

Many times

i’ve had this dream,

But the woman’s face

remains unseen.

The dream returned

a day ago,

And the woman’s face

now i know.

And what a relief

it is to see,

Now I know it’s you

who is walking with me.

Never once did i think

i’d dream,

of loving such a beautiful queen
