Running From Shadows

Lost in the shadows, trying to find my way

Nightmares in my mind, stealing my day

Every step’s a battle, every breath a fight

Holding on, just to see the light

Days blur together, numb and cold

Stories of trauma, still untold

Flashbacks hit like waves, pulling me under

Trying to stay afloat, keep the pain from making me suffer

But there's a flicker of hope, a new medicine's light

Maybe I can finally win this fight

Opening up fears I’ve locked so tight

Seeking peace in the dark, searching for night

Running on empty, spirits worn thin

Running from memories trapped deep within

But I keep pushing, hope's a distant spark

Waiting for a new dawn to light up the dark

Two days lost in a world so cold

Now I’m fighting, breaking the mold

Facing the evil thoughts, pulling me back

Striving to stay on the right track

Hope whispers softly, telling me to breathe

Healing takes time, it’s a slow retrieve

One step at a time, I’ll learn to be free
