Here I Go Again, Alone

Here I go again, stepping out on my own,

Facing the shadows, where the seeds have been sown.

Today begins a journey that’s clearer than the past,

I’m holding my head high, gotta make this moment last.

With every step I take, I feel the burden lift,

One day at a time, I embrace this gift.

There are kind souls guiding me,

And the sky, it feels so wide,

But the road ahead is unpredictable,

Still, I won’t let fear decide.

Here I go again, hear my heartbeat strong,

Walking ten thousand miles, I’ll prove that I belong.

On my way to Houston, it’s a fight for my soul,

Standing here alone, but this journey makes me whole.

Every step is heavy, and the road’s a lonely song,

But I’m learning to be patient while I carry on.

Healing from the hurt, spiritually and more,

With hope in my pocket, I’ll unlock every door.

Count the stars above me, they light my way,

I’m reclaiming my tomorrow, I’ll face the fray.
