Sorrow Lane

In shadows deep, a man doth roam,

A trail of sorrows, his path alone.

For she who took, both heart and soul,

Left him shattered, with a gaping hole.

Once he loved, with all his might,

But she betrayed him, in the night.

Her words of deceit, her actions cold,

Left him empty, a story untold.

Now he wanders, seeking recompense,

A heart of vengeance, seeking defense.

Yet deep within, a love still burns,

For her, the one, for whom he yearns.

Forgiveness wavers, on the edge,

As he walks the trail of pledge.

To love and hate, a tangled tale,

In his heart, the memories pale.

But in the end, the truth remains,

Love, forgiveness, still sustains.

For in his eyes, a flicker of light,

A hope that blooms, amidst the night.
