Waiting on the Road

Sitting in a tent, chasing the dawn

Roads ahead, but I’m still stuck on

Dreams of wheels, and a chance to roam

Waiting on a sign to bring me home

Seven weeks of struggle, lost in the game

Money draining slow, it’s never the same

Car's got a mind of its own, limp mode’s the rule

Tried to fix the pain, but it’s still so cruel

Every call I make, a new story told

Promises broken, feelings so cold

I just wanna dash, hit the open sky

But I’m stuck in the shade, asking why

Move me on, set me free

I just wanna hit the street

Turn my wheels, chase the sun

Life’s on hold, but I won’t run

Waiting for the day I can roll again

Breaking free from this pain and then

One more fix, one more ride

Gonna leave these worries behind
