Better than before

I don’t wait by the phone anymore,

don’t check if your name’s at my door,

I don’t replay the things I should’ve said—

I finally got out of my head.

Used to give more than I had,

thought love meant hurting that bad,

but I learned the hard way, line by line—

I was chasing something
