Calling my Son

Good morning, Jesus, I reach out again

Not for my sins, but for my Son

Calling up to Heaven, where I know he's near

Hoping for a moment, just to make it clear

If there's a line to the sky, a way to say what's true

I’d dial that heavenly number, just to reach through

To my son, my heart, my shining light

To tell him I miss him, deep into the night

Oh, send down a whisper, from the clouds above

Let him hear my heartbeat, let him feel my love

Give me one more chance to tell him, I love him

Let me hear his voice again, soft and gentle

For I want him to know how much I’ve been missing

Just a moment, a sign, to feel his presence again

In the quiet of my prayers, I wait and I hope

That somehow, somewhere, through the cosmic scope

My words will find him, in that blessed place

And he’ll know I’ve loved him, with endless grace

So I’ll keep calling, till I hear him say

Mom, I love you too, in a heavenly way
