I’m standing in the quiet, where the night feels long,

Where the answers don’t come and the heart feels wrong.

I’ve been praying in the shadows, wondering if You hear—

But You’re working in the silence, turning every hidden gear.

Every tear I cried was counted, every breath You knew,

Even when I lost my footing, You were pulling me through.

Your ways are higher, Your plan never fails,

Even when I’m drowning in doubt and the storm prevails.

When you feel like giving up—

When You answer right away, You’re strengthening my faith—

But when heaven feels quiet, You’re teaching me to wait.

And every moment of delay is a seed beneath the ground,

Growing roots in deep places ‘til Your glory breaks the sound.

I’ve been tempted to surrender, to believe the lie of fear—

But Your timing is never late, Your victory’s drawing near.
