Wrong Frustration
by Robert Ramage
Intro:
(Guitar riff building slow, steady beat — that storm-before-the-break feeling)
Verse 1:
Do you ever have one of those days,
Feelin’ like you’re fightin’ just to stay?
No one hears a damn word you say,
And you’re losin’ ground along the way.
You shout till your heart starts to bleed,
Still no one hears your need.
Then the pressure breaks inside,
And your words cut deep and wide.
Chorus:
Wrong frustration, wrong time, wrong place,
Let the anger show on my face.
Burned some bridges I can’t rebuild,
Said some things I never meant to spill.
I was reachin’ out, but I lost control,
Wrong frustration took its toll.
Verse 2:
I’ve walked that road of pride and pain,
Tryin’ to outrun the pourin’ rain.
Thought I had the world by the reins,
But the truth hit hard like a freight train.
Now I’m starin’ down my own mistakes,
Payin’ dues that my heart makes.
Bridge:
If I could turn it all around,
Take back the words that brought me down,
I’d trade my pride for one more chance,
To stop that fire before it danced.
Verse 3:
Now I’m learnin’ slow, day by day,
To think before I let it sway.
It ain’t weakness, it’s just strength,
To hold your peace at arm’s length.
Chorus (repeat):
Wrong frustration, wrong time, wrong place,
Let the anger show on my face.
Burned some bridges I can’t rebuild,
Said some things I never meant to spill.
I was reachin’ out, but I lost control,
Wrong frustration took its toll.
Outro:
So here I stand, a little more wise,
Watchin’ calm replace the cries.
Tomorrow’s road’s still mine to drive,
Wrong frustration — but I’m still alive.
