Before the world knew your name,

Mama dreamt of your sweet face

A little light wrapped in love,

We were older, we were tired,

Didn’t know what God had planned

But on a Halloween night,

You came early, ready to start the life God had planned

A gift from Heaven that lit up our world

Your first word was “dada,” second word was “whaaaat?”

You make us laugh when life gets too tough

Everywhere you go, you shine so bright

You’re the reason we believe in new beginnings

Grateful every day for the joy you bring

Crowds stop and turn around,

Just to see your smile

You’ve got that spark, that golden heart,

That makes it all worthwhile

we watch you dance when our life is full of storms, you’ve lit our path,

Your smile can chase away all fear

When things get dark, I look at you—

And suddenly it’s clear your life is proof god is near
