Whisper in the shadows, tempting and sly

Echoes of a devil's lullaby

He whispered sweet nothings in my ear

Decked in darkness, laced with charm

I knew his games, I knew his sneer

Yet, I fell into his calm

Danced by the edge of a wild old tree

His eyes burning with silent plea

Tasted the fruit, felt the flame

Foolish, yet I played the game

Temptation’s dance, where do I begin?

He praises my beauty, calls me his own

But I stand alone, still alone

He walks with me on the midnight trail

His words like honey, a tempting spell
