The color of midnight
The cloak of stars, they become me
Beckoning
To awaken
From this dream called reality
And
I can’t see any authenticity,
In your love
I cant feel the steady rhythm of
My heart beating, still, though breaking
As so does the dawn eventually
And I weep
For the wrong people
They don’t need me
They already have everything
I went from
Becoming
A fly on their wall,
To
A bird that flew in through the window
Now you notice this sorrow
And the sparrow
I want to float like a butterfly,
Free from judgment and loneliness
Fly, right under their noses
/Flowers for nourishment/
But the night air
Is so humid and suffocating
And
The color of midnight
As darkness ends sweetly,
And I-
I left humanity completely
