Earthquake
The ground starts breathing like a beast in pain
Deep in the dark where the fault lines strain
Steel in the skyline starts to bend and bow
Something underneath is waking now
Concrete cracking like a frozen scream
Buildings swaying like a broken dream
Streetlights flicker, then they fall apart
Like a pounding drum inside the heart
The earth shakes—no warning sign
Splitting stone right down the line
Walls come down, glass explodes
Nothing stays where it used to hold
Windows shatter in a rain of light
Dust and echoes fill the night
Sirens crying through the broken air
Nothing’s steady, nothing’s there
The ground won’t stop, it’s alive and mean
Turning order into a wrecked machine
Foundations crumble, towers sway
Everything solid gets torn away
The earth shakes—no mercy, no grace
Pulls the city out of place
Steel and stone lose their name
In the roaring, rising flame
When it ends, there’s silence left behind
Just twisted metal and fractured time
And all that stood so tall and proud
Is just a memory under dust and cloud
