My demons

As darkness surrounds me in this room,

I see dark figures moving, a sense of doom.

As this room grows darker, my hair stands up,

As they get closer, I close my eyes, abrupt.

As my room gets colder, shadows creep near,

I can hear the whispers, they echo with fear.

Calling out my name, they bring back the pain,

Telling me terrible things, like a haunting refrain.

So then I open my eyes with hate and I stand,

Looking at the shadows in this forsaken land.

You have no control over me, I've found my way,

I am the one who controls you, it's my turn to play.

You're my demons, I say with a smile so grim,

Now go back to where I put you, fade into dim.

This power I wield, I’ll show you tonight,

With every breath, I reclaim my own light.

So then I open my eyes with hate and I stand,

Looking at the shadows in this forsaken land.

You have no control over me, I've found my way,

I am the one who controls you, it's my turn to play.

As darkness surrounds me, I rise from the ground,

No longer the hunted, now I'm the profound.

The shadows may linger, but I won’t be scared,

In this room of darkness, my strength is declared.
