Baseball games and mommas pies
Walking in the rain don’t get home till 9
Hanging out at the five and dime
Little girls dressed up for church
Little boys out in the dirt
Angel faces in the sunlight
And everywhere that I have roamed
There’s only one place I call home
This is the life
This is the good time
This the right place for me. X2
Just down the street at the old folks home
There’s a couple there talking on the phone
To their kids who never come
Well you can see it in their eyes
The love they shared throughout their lives
Has come full circle in their hearts
She said do you have a regret
He just took her hand and said
This is the life
This is the good time
This is the right place for me. x2
And there’s a God we seldom see
And when he gave his life for me
And when he died upon that tree..
I heard him say…
This is the life
This is the good time
This is the right place for me. x2
