Rise Up

Even when the storm come, I stand my ground.

With my eyes up, heaven on my mind,

I walk by faith, I ain’t blind.

They said I’d fall, but God said “no,”

Planted in the Word, now watch me grow.

I rise up — in Jesus I trust,

I came from the valley, but now I’m climbing,

Tears on my face, but the light still shining.

Every setback, man, it taught me grace,

Now I run this race at a holy pace.

Devil in my ear try’na twist my path,

But I serve a God who defeats his wrath.

Ain’t no weapon formed gonna stop this plan,

I’m a soldier of the King — not of man.

Got pain in my story, but purpose too,

Scars on my soul, but I made it through.

Ain’t about luck, it’s about that faith,

When the world got cold, His love still safe.

I don’t chase gold, I chase His will,

When I’m down to nothin’, He’s my still.

So I pray, then move, stay bold, stay true,

If God before me, what can fear do?

Hands in the sky, chains in the dirt,

Christ broke ‘em all — now I know my worth.

Every trial, every storm, every dark day,

Just a page in the book He wrote my way.

So I press on, like Paul in the fight,
