The Lazy King's Parade

Oh, the tales we tell,

Of a man who won't rise,

Wrapped in his fortress,

Beneath troubled skies.

He sits on the couch like a king on his throne,

Gathering sympathy, he’s never alone.

His family’s hearts break as they plead and they try,

But he's wrapped in himself, watching life pass him by.

With a sigh and a whine, he plays the best role,

A big baby man, who won’t pay the toll.

But bring in a lady, and oh, how he shines,

Like a flick of a switch, now he’s up with the pines.

Fat lazy man, with a heart made of glass,

Tearing them down while he's groveling fast.

Playing the victim and wearing a frown,

But he jumps on his feet when a girl comes around.
