Healing in the Shadows

In the shadows where I used to roam,

Lost in the echoes of a broken home.

Once I was flying, now I'm back on the ground,

Searching for solace, every tear makes a sound.

Once a flower in the sun’s embrace,

Now I'm wilting in this unfamiliar space.

Thought I was healed, thought I could hold on tight,

But here comes the darkness creeping back in my sight.

The love that they offer feels heavy like chains,

It's a double-edged sword, an electric refrain.

They try to save me, but lose their way,

In this maze of emotions, we just start to sway.
