slipping effortlessly into the depths

revelation first comes in shades of blue

torpid turquoise is swiftly forgotten

tints deepen

comfort is shed

azure, cobalt, navy, midnight

warm, cool, cold, colder

black and bleak

fathoms conquered the sun's forces

space and time vanished

darkness drips from nonexistent shadows

lost cities and treasures troves

romanticized radiant creatures

spectacular suppositions revealed

meaningless nothingness

distant fear from my past
