[instrumental]
I will tell you a story
Of a family of coots
That drifted away
inside of a boot
The mother drank moonshine
Direct from the sky
Her children so thankful
That father was dry
[instrumental]
For so many years
They lived in this boot
Until a shark came
And swallowed the coots
[instrumental]
Inside of its belly
They discovered a foot
With a couple black toes
Where did it come from
Nobody knows
the children saw toy
the mother saw burden
As for the dry father
The foot was a joy
[big finish]
They welcomed the foot
With open arms
And passed it around
Feeling so charmed
The foot was delighted
Toes smiled with glee
No more being lonely
They were finally free
The coots lived with foot
In belly of shark
Until came the day
A storm cast them away
[fade to end]
They couldn’t break free
From all the debris
