**✨ “When the Light Breaks Through”
by Robert Ramage**
Intro
My phone’s glitching, my heart’s cracking,
Both slipping right out of my hands.
But even when the whole world breaks,
I’m learning how to stand.
---
Verse 1
Half my apps won’t load tonight,
And half her love went missing too.
Two signals fading at the same time—
Guess some things weren’t built to stay true.
But a cracked screen can’t steal my hope,
A hurting heart still learns to cope,
And somewhere past this broken view,
I feel a brighter day coming through.
---
Verse 2
I searched for comfort in the glow
Of late-night words on a quiet screen,
Hoping someone real would show
Behind the perfect lines they’d write to me.
But some connections glitch and fade,
Some promises just aren’t well-made.
Still, somewhere past the static haze,
There’s honest love in better days.
---
Verse 3
My phone froze up, then shut me out—
Feels like what she did to me.
One moment warm, next moment gone,
Lost in a faulty memory.
But phones get fixed or replaced in time,
And hearts do too when given the climb.
Not every spark ends in goodbye—
Some flames burn steady, reaching high.
---
Verse 4
So where are the true ones, the steady souls?
Somewhere past these digital goals.
Someone who shows up, stays for real,
Not just typed-out love, but love you feel.
A laugh that’s warm, a touch that’s true,
A presence you can hold onto.
I know she’s out there, shining bright—
Someone meant for me in the light.
---
Chorus
’Cause even when everything breaks at once,
The signal, the trust, the love, the phone—
I won’t stay lost in the falling pieces;
I’ll build something better from what I’ve known.
There’s a stronger love ahead of me,
Beyond the glitches, past the pain.
I’ll rise again from every crack—
Whole, hopeful, unbroken again.
---
Bridge
Maybe all this breaking down
Was clearing space for something new,
A chance to see that real love isn’t
Downloaded, typed, or overdue.
A better phone, a better heart,
A better hand to hold someday—
Yeah, tonight I’m walking through the dark,
But I’m headed toward a brighter way.
---
Outro
So here I am with broken parts,
But none of them can stop my start.
There’s love out there that’s warm and true—
And I’ll find her when the light breaks through.
A stronger me, a clearer view…
And a love that won’t fall apart on cue.
