Breaking the Chains

Strumming soft, hope in my voice

Walking out of the shadows, making my choice

Lost in the lines, of a life torn apart

Fighting these battles, trying to heal my broken heart

On streets so cold, with nothing to hold

Barely hanging on, feeling so old

Then I felt a hand, gentle and strong

Guided me gently back where I belong

Through tears and fears, I found my way

Faith in my heart, guiding each day

Breaking the chains, setting me free

From darkness and doubt, I learn to believe

With hope in my soul, I stand tall and proud

Life's a new song, singing out loud

Washed in His grace, lost in the night

Now I see the sunrise, shining so bright

Every step forward, a proof of His love

Sent from above, my blessings from above

No more shadows, no more fear

Just His voice whispering, 'I'm here'

Revived by His mercy, I finally see

A future of hope, just for me
