Sometimes I go to war with myself

And I don’t know who to call for help

The lines are drawn, it’s bad versus good

Will I fight for the side that I should

It’s a battle for the heart and soul

Each side vying for total control

Devil on my left, angel on my right

Agenda’s different as day and night

The one on my right says to be strong

And always choose right over wrong

The one on the left whispers in my ear

Do what you want with nothing to fear

You must choose your path and stay on track

The bullets will fly and the bombs will fall

You’ve got to stand your ground through it all

What side to choose and what side to fight

Be careful of who’s council you keep

The spirit is willing, the flesh is weak
