Lessons of Freedom

In the shadows of despair, I learned to breathe,

Found the strength to rise, to finally leave.

With echoes of the past, haunting my sleep,

I walk the path of healing, promises to keep.

Lesson one, I’m not alone,

Found a heart that feels like home.

A friend so dear, lifts the weight,

Love blooms softly, it’s never too late.

With every tear, I shed my pain,

Reaching for the sun, dancing in the rain.

A journey of a thousand miles,

Starts with one step, and a thousand smiles.

Oh, I’ve come from the darkness, walked into the light,

Healing in the silence, holding on so tight.

Every scar a story, every wound a song,

I’m reclaiming my heart, where I truly belong.

Lesson two, seek the help,

Voices of the past might try to yell.

Night terrors crashing through my mind,

But I’m learning to fight, leaving fear behind.

With every flashback, I’ll take my stand,

Asking for the strength to heal from the hands.

A team beside me, guiding through the strife,

Together we’ll rewrite the story of my life.
