Verse 1
There lived a man in the land of Uz,
Faithful to God, blameless and just.
He had riches, family, and peace so sweet,
A life where heaven and earth did meet.
But Satan whispered, “Take it away,
And this faithful man will fall and stray.”
God allowed the storm to come,
But Job's battle had just begun.
Chorus
Oh, Job, your faith held strong,
Even when the world went wrong.
Through the pain, through the loss,
You still trusted in the cross.
Oh, Job, you stood the test,
Proved that God’s plan is always best.
Through the fire, through the night,
You held on to God’s guiding light.
Verse 2
He lost his children, his wealth, his land,
Yet Job still raised his trembling hands.
He cried, “The Lord gives, the Lord takes away,
Blessed be His name, come what may.”
When sickness came and his strength grew weak,
And his friends gave answers harsh and bleak,
Job still searched for the God he knew,
And his hope remained steadfast and true.
Chorus
Oh, Job, your faith held strong,
Even when the world went wrong.
Through the pain, through the loss,
You still trusted in the cross.
Oh, Job, you stood the test,
Proved that God’s plan is always best.
Through the fire, through the night,
You held on to God’s guiding light.
Bridge
Then God spoke from the raging storm,
Revealing His power to transform.
“Were you there when I made the sea?
Can you command eternity?”
Job replied, “I see it now,
You are sovereign; to You, I bow.
Though I don’t understand the why,
I will trust You, Lord, until I die.”
Chorus (Powerful and Clear)
Oh, Job, your faith held strong,
Even when it all felt wrong.
When the answers never came,
Still you glorified His name.
Oh, Job, God raised you high,
Restored your life, blessed your cry.
What was broken, He made new,
And He’ll do the same for me and you.
Outro
So when trials come, and your hope seems gone,
Remember Job and carry on.
For our God is faithful, good, and true,
And He’ll see you through, just like Job too.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!
