Faith Over Fear
Verse 1
I’ve walked these roads with heavy boots,
Carried more than one man should.
Loved with everything inside my heart,
Even when it wasn’t understood.
I’ve cried enough to fill a river,
Fought battles no one ever knew.
Tried to hold this world together,
Till my own hands broke in two.
Pre-Chorus
I’m not angry, I’m not bitter,
I’m just laying this weight down.
‘Cause I finally found the freedom
That only Heaven’s ever found.
Chorus
So I’m letting go of what I can’t change,
Putting every hurt in Jesus’ name.
Trading all my fear for a little more faith,
Knowing God’s never been late.
I’m done chasing what was never mine,
His plans are greater than my design.
One step at a time, I’ll walk His way,
He’s writing a better story every day.
I’ll trust His heart when I can’t see—
His grace is more than enough for me.
Verse 2
Tomorrow’s got a thousand questions,
But I don’t need them answered now.
I’ve learned surrender isn’t weakness,
It’s the strongest kind of proud.
Every scar became a lesson,
Every valley led me here.
Now I’m standing on His promise,
Not my doubt or all my fears.
Bridge
If He can calm the raging ocean,
He can calm the storm in me.
If He can roll away the stone,
He can set this heart free.
I’m leaving yesterday behind me,
No looking back this time.
The cross has already won the battle,
Now His victory is mine.
Final Chorus
I’m letting go of what I can’t change,
Giving every burden to His name.
Trading all my fear for amazing grace,
Knowing mercy meets me every day.
I’m done chasing what was never mine,
God’s been working all this time.
One step at a time, I’ll follow His light,
Through every valley, every night.
He’s writing a better chapter now,
And I believe He’s never letting me down.
Outro
I don’t have to know tomorrow…
I just have to trust the One who does.
