Trust in the Only Truth

Light in the darkness, I stand on Your truth

Echoes of Your promise, forever You hold proof

Who can I trust when shadows surround?

Fickle hearts and broken vows all around

But I find my refuge, in the One above

A fortress of mercy, boundless in love

Though betrayal’s shadow tries to steal my peace

Your word is my anchor, my soul’s release

I trust in You alone, my Savior and King

Let God be true, in You I sing

No more illusions, no more disguise

Only in Your truth do I realize

That in you I can only trust

Now I stand in Your light, in Your grace

Betrayal may come, but I will not stray

God, You’re my fortress, my shield and guide

In You alone, I will abide

Every man a liar, but You never change

Your promises are forever, Your love unrestrained

Romans 5, Your truth remains

In Your presence, I’ll never be the same

Trust in You, oh Lord, forever more

In Your truth, I’ll always soar

Beyond deceit and broken trust

In You alone, I place my trust.
