Rescue in the Darkness

Fallen shadows, calling out my name,

Darkness surrounds me, drowning in the blame.

Stumbling through the night, heavy with regret,

Caught in the grip of the demon I won't forget.

Broken bottles, shattered dreams, whisper in my ear,

The devil's grip is tight, feeding on my fear.

But I hear a distant prayer, a flicker of the light,

A voice inside that fights to end this endless night.

Come on, Lord, bring me back to grace,

From this dark, and from this place.

Fighting through the shadows, I wanna be free,

Lift me up and rescue me.

Chains wrapped around my soul, pulling me down,

Lost in the addiction, wearing my crown of frowns.

But inside I feel a spark, a hope to ignite,

A chance to turn around, to step into the light.

Echoes of my prayer, reaching through the despair,

Desperate for salvation, for Your loving care.

Come on, Lord, bring me back to grace,

From this dark, and from this place.

Fighting through the shadows, I wanna be free,

Lift me up and rescue me.

Fighting to breathe, fighting to believe,

That Your mercy is more, that You’re here with me.

Rising from the ashes, seeking Your face,

I surrender now, to Your saving grace.

Devil, you're defeated, I choose to stand,

With God's love guiding me, I take Your hand.

Coming back to life, breaking all the chains,

In His mercy, I will reign.
