We both got dressed for a date out in the sun

Your red hair, green shirt, and ready for some fun

I took us on a drive down I-41

You didn’t know what was coming, but damnit I did

Young and in love, going through life for the fun of it

Now we have rings and a kid with no quit

Sometimes I think back to that day, me you and you in the Pita Pit

I remember going out to El Dorado

You already had my heart this ole Desperado

I remember taking my drinks with a splash of lime

Now we play with our son and ask “Where’s the time gone?”
