A Cry for Peace(Ukraine)

Oh, can you hear them cry?

Children crying, streets covered in pain,

Dead bodies lying, it’s hard to explain.

A war ignites, like thunder in the sky,

My mind says run, but my heart won't comply.

War-torn families, dreams turned to ash,

Futures stolen, innocence dashed.

Lost in this chaos, where is the light?

A battle within me, day turns to night.

My mind says - Leave it and proceed!

But my heart screams - Stay and believe!

Is it a tug of war between mind and heart?

Please God, hear my cry—let the healing start.

Wounds of the fallen, stories untold,

Innocent laughter replaced by the cold.

A child’s soft whisper, a plea for release,

How can we fight for a moment of peace?

Each tear that falls, a world losing hope,

Caught in the struggles, we barely cope.

Together we stand, but it’s tearing apart,

A war in the heavens, a war in my heart.

My mind says - Leave it and proceed!

But my heart screams - Stay and believe!

Is it a tug of war between mind and heart?

Please God, hear my cry—let the healing start.

Oh, struggle to breathe in this unforgiving land,

Where dreams are shattered by a cruel hand.

But through the darkness, I’ll raise my voice tall,

For every lost soul, I’ll fight for them all.

Please God, hear our prayer,

Stop the blood, mend the tear.

As we gather our courage, together we’ll stand,

To chase away shadows, with love hand in hand.
