Light after dark

I’ve been climbing out the dark, yeah, I had to find my light,

Voices in my head but I’m stronger in the fight,

Dreams on my mind, I’ve been chasing every night,

I was lost for a minute, now I’m finally getting right.

Heart on my sleeve, I can’t cover up the pain,

But I learned from the struggle, now there’s power in my name,

People doubted me before, now they wanna ride the wave,

Had to hustle in the storm just to see a brighter day.

Still healing scars but I turned ‘em into lessons,

Prayed through the lows, had to count every blessing,

Melody inside me, yeah, the pain gave direction,

Now I’m shining in the dark, I became my own reflection.
