I wanted to find hope
Cause I can’t change who I’ve become
Way deep in confusion
To lost for your comfort
Where’s hope (where’s hope)
When you need it.
I need you
Need you
Where’s hope when you’re lost
I don’t know
Do I look for you
Or do I stay confused
Got way to comfortable with feeling
Lost (lost)
Even though I can’t take it
Lost (lost)
Looking for hope
In the dark I created
Where are you now, when my heart started fading
Lost
I’m lost with out
Hope
This ain’t the way I imagined it’d be
I wanted love, yea I wanted peace
I seen these changes
I watched you leave
Now I’m Lost (lost)
I couldn’t take it
Fell for this place
Now my hope it feels vacant
They told me time is the only thing that could fix me
Day after day was the same
Everyday was temptations
Dimming my soul now I’m here
So complacent
Where is the light that I knew?
Where’s hope when you’re lost
I don’t know
Do I look for you
Or do I stay confused
Got way to comfortable with feeling
Lost (lost)
Even though I can’t take it
Lost (lost)
Looking for hope
In the dark I created
Where are you now, when my heart started fading
Lost
I’m lost with out
Hope
Where is the light that I knew? It used to flicker in the corners of my chest, Now it’s just smoke and the smell of what I left. I trace the walls with my fingers, Count the cracks like they might spell your name, But every shadow just laughs and says the same thing, “You made this bed, now lie in the blame.”
I sit with the silence till it starts to talk back, Whispering truths I don’t want to unpack. That maybe I’m not ready to be found, Maybe the dark’s got a hold of me voice so loud. Solid. Familiar. A place I can stand Without the risk of reaching for a hand That might not reach for mine.
Where’s hope when you’re lost I don’t know Do I look for you Or do I stay confused Got way too comfortable with feeling Lost (lost) Even though I can’t take it Lost (lost) Looking for hope In the dark I created Where are you now, when my heart started fading Lost I’m lost without Hope
I been sittin’ here in the low glow of the screen, Scrolling through faces that don’t know what I mean. The clock says 2:47, same as yesterday, And I’m still talkin’ to a version of me that walked away. I wanted to be better, wanted to be whole, But I keep pullin’ at the threads that used to hold. Your voice in my head, soft like it used to be, Sayin’ “baby, come find me” when I’m too scared to see.
The city outside is hummin’ but I’m muted inside, Wrapped in this blanket of “what if I tried?” My chest gets tight when the quiet gets loud, And I wonder if hope’s just a word for the proud. I ain’t proud no more, I’m just tired and true, Still reachin’ for somethin’ that feels like you. Where’s hope… when the dark feels like home… I’m still here… still whisperin’ your name… Maybe tomorrow… I’ll open the blinds… Or maybe I’ll stay… just one more night… I need you… I need you… Hope… don’t leave me too…
