Born To Overcome

The rain it sure comes down

Flows in like a flood

Lures and hooks abound, try to pull me down

But I, no I will never drown

Climb the stormy mountains, cross the rivers wide

Face the fears within, never run and hide

Every scar a story, every fall a lesson learned

Forged in the fire, my will burns, burns, burns

It's the word of God that keeps me alive

Until He says otherwise, I’ll survive

No holding back, I’ll break through the night

The Lord is my light and my might

No I'm not scared, The Lord is with me

I walk with God, He protects me

You can't harm me, you can't touch me

Overcoming battles, I'll sing in the rain

Turning pain to power, breaking free from chains

Stand tall, stand proud, let the whole world see

Whom the son sets free, is free indeed

I am revived, restored, living on a prayer

Christ is my foundation

I'm on eagle's wings soaring through the air

No obstacle can hold me, no darkness too deep

My hope is a promise that I’ll always keep

No devil, no angel, no demon, no man

Can ever take away

The promise of God given on my dying day

I'm saved by His salvation, He has forgiven me

I have all that I need, His blood set me free

So here I am, ready to face the day

A warrior forged inside of me

Through the hardships, I’ve found my way

A brighter dawn awaits me

He won't abandon me now

So I'll just keep pushing

He's never let me down
