Intro (soft and reflective)
"Ya Rabbi, we are weak… but we heard Your call."
"And we obeyed… with hearts in submission."
---
Verse 1
We heard the call, it pierced the soul,
Through veils of dunya, it made us whole.
No question left, no voice of pride,
We bowed our heads, and cast aside.
Sam‘ina wa Ata‘na — our tongue declares,
Not just in words, but heartfelt prayers.
No doubt remains, no fear to sway,
We live to serve, we love to obey.
---
Chorus
سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا — We heard and obeyed,
In the path of love, no price too great.
Tasleem, submission, the soul’s true light,
Through Shaykh’s guidance, we walk aright.
We heard and obeyed, O Lord Most High,
No excuse now, no asking why.
The path is clear, the veil is torn,
In love of Muhammad (ﷺ), we are reborn.
---
Verse 2
This heart was wild, this nafs was loud,
But Shaykh taught silence, away from crowd.
To crush the ego, to die each day,
So the soul may rise, in Allah’s way.
Obedience is not by tongue alone,
It’s to sacrifice what we call our own.
In every test, in every pain,
We say “Yes!” again and again.
---
Chorus
سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا — We heard and obeyed,
In oceans of faith, we’re not afraid.
With zikr and muraqabah as our guide,
In Shaykh’s reflection, the veils subside.
We heard and obeyed, O Light Divine,
Your command is mercy, Your will is fine.
Ya Rabbi, You speak and we comply,
With every tear and every sigh.
---
Bridge
From Lauh al-Mahfuz to the soul's decree,
Every command is destiny.
To the Shaykh we cling, our rope so tight,
Through his nazar, we reach Your light.
---
Outro (soft echo with salawat)
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّد
We heard, we obeyed — not just today,
But forevermore, we walk Your way.
سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا... آمَنَّا وَصَدَّقْنَا
