Mmm… caught in the web… caught in the web… truth come set me free
SPOKEN (Mike)
I'm going to explain this one more time to you.
I'm going to let you see clearly what I'm talking about —
since you're all in my business, sit back and listen,
and you'll learn something, because you clearly want to know.
Choir (echo softly):
You want to know… you want to see… you want to be free…
You want to see clearly enough that you can see through people,
especially when they gather together —
because they have been captured at one time through difficulty,
they have been snuggled together without even realizing it.
Choir (low harmony):
They don’t even know… they don’t even know…
🎤 VERSE 2 – SPOKEN
Taken as normal, this negative force is pulling them all together.
And those that break free — they come back, stringed along.
You heard the word “string along.”
They become webbed —
and the spider, it just left the nest of the web.
Choir (echoes):
The spider left… but the web remains…
But they've already been strung up.
People walk to you and not even realize it —
if they have been webbed at one time.
They look at you like, “What's wrong?”
Well, that’s the way it is when you’ve been taught
to hate when people are right —
to make the wrong feel right.
Choir (whisper chant):
Wrong feels right… right feels wrong… caught in the web… for too long…
🎤 VERSE 3 – SPOKEN
So you've been whipped with a web of darkness.
Mother and father in the background —
somewhere in the beginning of darkness.
They become the light,
but they experienced so much drama to get away from that web.
Choir (builds softly):
Break away… break away… from that web… from that web…
At the time past, they called their family so tightly webbed,
they tried to convince everyone they knew right from wrong.
They were not blinded by any means,
but today they’ll admit — they were blinded.
Choir (echo):
They were blinded… blinded by trust…
🎤 VERSE 4 – SPOKEN
For all who they entrusted — their beliefs, their friends, social media —
and doing no research on their own.
They are just taking everybody else's world.
Choir (soft harmony):
Taking everyone’s word… forgetting their own truth…
That’s when the spider bit them, betrayed them.
And that’s when they escaped to become new people, new people.
They can’t be touched by who knows.
Choir:
They can’t be touched… reborn… renewed…
🎶 HOOK – LIGHT SET ME FREE (Choir Lead)
Mike (spoken / uplifted tone):
You believe now,
you believe the light that sets you free.
Choir (strong gospel harmony):
The light set me free! (Free!)
The light set me free!
🎤 SPOKEN / INTENSE
But the spider didn’t care.
It always has a few of you that get off the strings of cobwebs tonight —
running their own course, still confusing.
Choir (call and response):
Still confused?
Still bound?
Break free! Break free!
This fat spider still got a hold on you
till you find yourself and be set really free.
Choir (strong build):
Find yourself! Find you
