A little girl barley six years old
Stripped of her innocence her childhood now gone
Way to young to feel this way
What kind of person can cause so much pain
While all the other kids are wild and carefree
Shes having nightmares every time she sleeps
She fakes a smile and pretends she's fine
But no one knows the pain that she hides
She wants so bad just to tell someone
To run to her daddy tell em what he had done
But in her head she can still hear his voice
If you say a word you'll be the last one I hurt
Everybody that you love will be first
So she held it in way to afraid
She'd rather hurt then see them in pain
Nobody knew the things that she'd been through
Or the things he'd make her do
For 5 years she never said a word
Then one day that little girl broke
With a room full of kids staring back at her
Tears in her eyes as she tried to explain
She wants so bad just to tell someone
To run to her daddy tell em what he had done
But in her head she can still hear his voice
If you say a word you'll be the last one I hurt
Everybody that you love will be first
So she held it in way to afraid
She'd rather hurt then see them in pain
The pain inside of her brother's eyes when he finally heard the truth
He blamed himself said he failed
The sound of his screams still haunts her now
Sometimes late at night she could hear the sound of her daddy crying
All he wanted was to keep her safe
like her brother he just blamed himself
Felt like he let his little girl down
Her momma tried just to hide her pain
But the look in her eyes said everything
Her sister became her best friend
Cause she'd never leave her side
I know that everything in life has a reason
But how could a child deserve such a fate
While all the other kids are wild and carefree
Shes having nightmares every time she sleeps
She fakes a smile and pretends she's fine
But no one knows the pain that she hides
