Why do they stare, why do they stare?

Mocking with their glances, never to care

I’m not angry, just misunderstood

Walking with faith, but they call me no good

They see my pain as rage, wrong assumptions made

Labels they stick on me, unfair parade

But I’ve changed within, I’ve found light in the dark

God in my heart, beaming like a spark

No more reactions, no more tears

Your doubts and spite vanish with my fears

I walk in grace, I walk in truth

My Savior’s love has renewed

Why are you so cruel, can’t you see?

I’m not who I was, I’m finally free

This life’s not just about the fight

I found my peace in the Savior’s light

They try to confine, they try to define

But I’m reborn, I’m divine

In His name, I rise above

Crucified with pain, crowned with love

So look beyond, see what’s real

A heart transformed, a soul that heals

They need to find, they need to see
