I was the lighthouse that brought light to your life,

I was the poetry you didn't know how to read.

Your romantic words were empty,

feelings that never touched my skin.

I never got a hug

when I needed you.

And there I was,

holding onto what we had

as if you cared

But look at me now,

I’m not waiting for you anymore.

The blindfold has fallen,

my tears have dried.

What I gave you was great,
