I’ve been down so many roads

Where no one knew my name

And everywhere I’ve been

It seemed the story stayed the same

I drifted through the shadows

With a heart that carried pain

But every turn and every mile

Brought me closer to today

In unfamiliar places

With not so pleasant faces

But I’m okay with the highway that I’m on

I’ve made peace with all the leaving

And the ones who stopped believing

I’ve carried blame that I have earned

And paid for what was done

I’ve wrestled with the silence

And ran out of places to run

But somewhere past the sorrow

I felt the Lords embrace

And a little boy with my last name

A testament to His grace
