A Face in the Crowd

I’m alone, surrounded by a million faces. 
I’m going nowhere, running against the wind. Lord I’m so tired, I’ve got to find some peace of mind. Thirsty for water, surrounded by the sea.

Just another face in the crowd. Going round and standing still. Feel like I’m losing this fight, if I can’t hold on to the light.  And I don’t want to be bound up just to be set free. And I don’t wanna be…another face in the crowd. 

Just one more day, Lord you promised me I’d make it. Only one more night, I’ll have to cry myself to sleep. Sometimes I wonder if it matters if I’m conquered in defeat. I need a little taste of victory, to get back on my feet.
