Rising from the Ashes

In the shadows, whispering low,

A heart once chained, now ready to flow.

I've seen the dark, I've felt the pain,

But here I stand, broken yet unchained.

Yelling and screaming, echoes of shame,

Fighting to breathe in a house of blame.

Living with shadows, but they're fading fast,

The weight I carry, but I’m free at last.

Emotional damage may linger near,

But love conquers all, wipes away the fear.

Her Judgment Day will come, it’s true,

To answer for the pain that she put me through.

But I’m standing tall, I’m stronger inside,

With every step forward, I continue to ride.
