I was fine with being on my own,

Curled up in a quiet home,

Turning pages just to pass the time.

Left my heart in a wedding band,

Told myself I’d had my chance,

Love was just a plot that didn’t rhyme.

And somehow, I began to feel brand new.

Now it’s chapter two, and I’m writing slow,
