A new year cheers

It’s the end of the year

and I’ve got nothing to fear

And so I know

And so I think

It’s all gonna be alright

as long as we hang on tight

because everything

is turning to shit

all around

there are wars going on

And important things

have got to be signed

Like I have to remind

all of the chaos surrounds

Bad weather covers the ground

because of global warming

oceans are flooding

and tornadoes are forming

little by little

starvation spreads

to those other people

Living around the world

But we don’t help them

because we’re too far away

and we don’t know how anyway

we’re trying to pick up

All of the pieces

And try to figure out

How to stop those from starving

try as we might

to get rid of the stump

That everybody laughs at

but no one is taking

responsibility

But right here right now

We are free!
